When I visited a Waldorf school for the first time, one of the things that first impressed me was seeing the children carrying their lunches to school in sweet baskets. Quite a contrast to the preschool I was teaching in at the time, where all the children seemed to carry nothing but media-inspired vinyl lunch boxes.

These charming, one-of-a-kind baskets have been very popular with Waldorf school families, and are great for pretend play, too!
