Waldorf Playstand Set

This set of beautiful Wooden Waldorf Playstands will provide years of creative play for your child. These classic Waldorf toys are "open ended," meaning they can be played with in an endless variety of ways.

They can be used for puppet shows, playing store, creating make-believe kitchens and anything else that your children dream up. Draped with one of our Silks Scapes from Sarah's Silks or large cotton play cloths, the set becomes a fort, hideaway, or a cozy house.

Lovingly handcrafted in New England of native pine, each playstand has two shelves.

Each playstand measures 41" wide x 42" high x 12" deep

The shelves are 37" long and 15" apart. The two canopies are included in this set are approximately 27" long.

Height of playstand with canopies in place is 54" (4ft 6in) high.

Comes in an easy-to-assemble kit containing two playstands and two canopies, screws, end caps and wood glue.

The wood is unfinished natural pine. I recommend applying a coat of mineral oil or linseed oil yearly to protect the wood and provide a safe, non-toxic finish.

I considered a pair of Waldorf playstands to be essential elements in my Waldorf kindergarten classroom. They were moved about and played with daily in a myriad variety of ways by the children.

These unique pieces of Waldorf furniture are beautifully made and will add warmth and coziness and warmth to any child's play room.

The unique locking end on the top of the playstands can be used for hang treasures, and moveable arches make the play space adjustable. Moved from parallel position to side-by-side, they can transform from "house" to "store."

And as your child gets older, they can be used as book shelves or to fashion a canopy bed.
