I was first given a copy of this CD years ago by actress and singer, Mimi Bessette, when I was pregnant with my first child. Soon after my son was born and I listened to it for the first time, it became an instant favorite!

Mimi Bessette has taken some of the most beautiful melodies from Broadway shows and transformed them into gorgeous lullabies with her pure and angelic voice. Some of my fondest memories of being a new mother are of rocking and nursing my infant son while singing along to this beautiful recording.

In the years since, I have given this CD as a baby gift to many friends and relatives, and am so happy to now be able to introduce it to a new generation of mothers here at Bella Luna Toys.

Dear Mimi,

I am certain you won't remember me, but we met many years ago. I was pregnant at the time, and you gave me a copy of your CD, Lullabies of Broadway, which was so kind of you.

I never had a chance to tell you how that CD became such a favorite of mine after my son Harper was born. My fondest memories of parenthood are of rocking Harper as an infant, nursing him, and listening to your angelic voice, and eventually singing along to all the lullabies. I associate the songs on your CD with feelings of the most intense love I've ever experienced. I just discovered that your CD is still available, and when I listened to the clips, it brought tears to my eyes.

Fast forward nearly 20 years. Harper is 19 years old and a freshman in college, and after leaving acting to become an early childhood teacher, I now own an online toy business, selling natural toys inspired by Waldorf education. I would absolutely LOVE to be able to offer Lullabies of Broadway at Bella Luna Toys. The moon on the cover would also fit right in with the theme of my website.

Things have been going very well lately. I just finished doing a play at The Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. They say it's coming in to Broadway in the fall. I sure hope so.
