Here on the coast of Maine, seeing fisherman out on Penobscot Bay is a common sight, and the Maine children I taught loved to pretend to fish.

I searched high and low for a wooden toy fishing pole to add at Bella Luna Toys, and was delighted when I finaly found this high quality magnetic fishing game, handmade by a small family business in the USA.

Fishing Game Idea:

Tie some play silks across two chairs or a pair of playstands and play "fishing pond". One child hides in the pond while the other fishes. What will the fisherman catch? The child in the pond might attach a fish or a surprise metal object!
