Soon after my first child Harper was born, I wanted to take up knitting again, which I had learned as a child from my grandmother. My skills were rusty and I needed a review of basic skills.

I was thrilled when I picked up a copy of Kids Knitting. Even though it was written for kids, the clear instructions and color illustrations were just what I needed to pick up where I left off, and to master new skills, such as knitting socks.

See the blue, purple and green striped sweater on the cover? I knit that sweater in the same yarn and colors for Harper! It was worn by his younger brother William and much loved by both.
