Zoë b Biodegradable Beach Toys are made from a strong and durable bioplastic made from corn, not petroleum.

Mirel™ is a “performance bioplastic” which is designed to withstand bright sunlight and extreme heat. It’s even dishwasher-safe! It only biodegrades when exposed to microbial activity; such as in soil, when composted, or in marine environments.

This five-piece set includes:

1 Bucket
1 Sifter/Lid
1 Shovel
2 Cups

This unique material contains no BPA, PVC or phthalates. Most importantly, it will biodegrade in salt or fresh water, compost, or soil within two to three years, unlike regular plastic which can take 500 years or more.

Early on, I made the decision to keep Bella Luna Toys free of plastic toys, even recycled plastic, which will sit in a landfill for 500 years or more.

At the same time, I really wanted to add a good set of beach toys for sand play, which provides such great sensory stimulation for children. The problem was, that there are very few materials that are as satisfactory for sand and water play as plastic.
