Today I'm here to share another DIY craft tutorial. In this how-to video, you'll learn how to make an adorable heart-shaped basket from woven felt sheets. This is a great homemade gift for a child or special someone on Valentine's Day!
For this project, you will need:
- Two sheets of colored wool felt
- Heart pattern template
- Sewing pins
- Tacky craft glue or a hot glue gun
- Paper scissors
- Fabric scissors (optional)
This is a simple and easy craft project that's perfect for children and adults of all ages, though adults should do the pattern cutting for younger kids!
You'll be amazed at how quickly you can make a beautiful basket for Valentine's Day!

Thank you fort this sweet craft. I am going to make it with my 6 yr old granddaughter. I made the first practice one using the downloaded template but it seemed too small. I enlarged the template to 130% on the copier and it was perfect , easier to do the weaving . I have cut out a few extra pieces so she can make them for her little girlfriends.
