Waldorf Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Painting

Waldorf Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Painting

Many years ago, long before the "Sunday with Sarah" series, I made a two-part video tutorial on Waldorf wet-on-wet watercolor painting. Our video capabilities have come a long way since then, as has YouTube's restrictions on video length, so I thought we would revisit the topic for a much-needed update!

In Waldorf schools, watercolor paint is applied to wet, soaked paper. This method creates beautiful blending and teaches children the basic principles of color theory in an organic, hands-on way.

If you try this watercolor method at home, please let me know how it turns out! Share your results with me on Instagram @bellalunatoys

If you need any painting supplies, we carry everything used in the video in our collection of Painting Supplies on Bella Luna Toys.
