In my kindergarten class, I'd sometimes have the children decorate candles to give as holiday gifts. We'd cut the decorating wax into shapes such as stars, moons or Christmas trees and stick them onto rolled beeswax candles the children had made.

Then we'd wrap them up in tissue paper, tie them with yarn and send them home to put under the tree.
