Welcome to our Waldorf kite paper mushroom tutorial! Using vibrant kite paper and simple techniques, we’ll guide you step-by-step to create these enchanting decorations to adorn your windows this fall. Gather Your Supplies:
These are the tools we used to create our Kite Paper Mushrooms:
- Waldorf Kite Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
Create your Kite Paper Mushrooms:
Step 1:
Start with a square of kite paper. For smaller mushrooms, cut your kite paper square into fourths.
Step 2:
Fold your kite paper in half diagonally.
Step 3:
Open after folding in half, and fold the two corners to the center.
Step 5:
Fold over the triangle flap and lay flat.
Step 6:
Fold down the top long triangle, leaving about 1/4" and crease it.
Step 6:
Fold down the corners on sides.
Step 7:
Gently open the corners and line the paper to the center line and crease it down. Repeat on both sides.
Step 7:
Fold bottom triangle up and crease down.
Step 7:
Fold the edges of the top section on the three sides.
Step 7:
Flip over to see your mushroom shape.
Step 7:
Cut out the red kite paper in the shape of your mushroom top. Glue down.
Step 7:
Cut out tiny circles from your yellow kite paper and glue onto the red mushroom cap.
Step 7:
Attach to your window and let the fall light shine through your new mushroom window friend!
