The holes that circle the edges are designed to hang ornaments or pieces of nature. The lower level has seven holes for beeswax candles and on the bottom level there is a groove where you can display a seasonal print, piece of art work, or a photo.

Very beautiful but wish it was sturdier

"When putting it together I couldn’t get the shelf pieces to go onto the center piece of wood because the wood had likely expanded due to high humidity in transport (just guessing). I was able to get it on but it doesn’t feel super sturdy. I’m not sure how I will transport when we move in the future. Wish it could come apart and store as needed (especially for the price). We are enjoying it though and it is beautiful!"

Beautifully crafted

"Going to make a Yggdrasil (Norse ash tree) for Grade 4 class. Top 'shelf' will support the canopy of the tree. Second 'shelf' will be the realm of Asgard. Third 'shelf' will be Midgard. Three-pronged support at the bottom will be the three roots of the ash and location of Helheim. The other six worlds will be 4-inch circles support by dowels stuck into the holes of the middle world."

"The concept of this is super cute however the execution is lacking, particularly for the brand which is normally very well made. The entire thing rests on the dowel which does not properly fit on the hole and causes everything to wobble. A little candle wax will fix it but between that and the shelves just resting on unattractive dowels, I just wasn’t impressed with this piece."

Enchanting piece for celebrations; a bit wobbly.

"We got this to have a fun way to decorate our table for the seasons, holidays and birthdays. The stand plates are a bit wobbly because they rest on pegs and they seem to seesaw a little bit from side to side when you place small objects on it. Made it a little frustrating to balance things, but overall it’s very fun with different holes to place small Flowers and decorations in. I like the wood tone, and the space at the base to put a picture or postcard in too. Easy to pull apart and store flat when not in use too, so that’s a bonus. Hope this can be used for many years to come and be a sustainable/ ritual piece we use with nature finds and candles in the holidays to come."
